Fine Art & Antiques is pleased to have the opportunity to sell The Skowhegan Collection. The Skohegan Collection is representative
of the work of 49 artists who had residencies at Skowhegan during the 10-yr. period from 1975-85. Founded in 1946, the Skowhegan School
of Painting and Sculpture is a residency program bringing together emerging artists with distinguished artists.
This group of works was exhibited at the Leo Castelli Gallery
in New York City and at the Portland Museum of Art in Portland Maine.
Many of the works are of massive proportions with some room
size installations.
The auction takes place from May 23rd through June 6th with
a live exhibition June 4th and June 5th at our gallery.
