Description
Set of Four Regency Mahogany Side Chairs, together with a Pair of Biedermeier Side Chairs, English and Continental, Early 19th C., the Regency chairs with reeded top rails and twist-carved splats, the Biedermeier chairs with black-painted pierced splats, all raised on outcurving tapering legs and all with light-colored synthetic furry seat covers. Condition
Three Regency chair with repairs to stiles at joint with crest rail, patch repairs on both sides at joint with stile and seat rail, one chair additionally with break to top of proper right leg at joint with seat; Biedermeier chairs with worming losses and some infill, both with wooden bottoms reinforcing old springs. One chair has small chip loss to bottom of one front foot.
