Much of my work pairs a variety of quasi-documentary modes of investigation with the nature of the medium itself. The duality that is present in this mode of investigation, which varies in form and concept, sets the stage for an understanding of photography as mythical, transitory and illusive. This image entitled Altered State is from a group of work (Karst) that uses place and weather as a stepping off point for notions of wandering, dreaming and the subconscious.
